President Charlie Hammond presided.   Approximate number of attendees: 45.  We were graced with the presents of Rachel Bryson, the 2008 American Haney Princess. She is 22 years old, and lives on a farm in Pennsylvania. Thank you Rachel for coming to our meeting and attending the Florida State Fair. Jon Simkin, Renee Hartmann and Jane Hall provided the refreshments.  Door prizes provided by Bert Kelly. Thank you to all.

Guest Speaker: Jon Simkin with IQ Insect / All Florida Bee Removal presented information about bee removal to our group.  Jon Simkin is a U of Fl entomologist with 13 years experience in the business of stinking insect removal.  He takes care of hornets, yellow jackets, bald-faced hornet wasps as well as honey bees. He is interested in saving any and all bees that may be saved by contacting any person in our group to come to sights and collect the bees for hiving. These bees may be in meter boxes, or in trees on external hives. Please contact Jon Simkin at (813) 930-2847.

Q&A

What do we do with bumblebees? Iq Insect get rid of them.
